Avow Napa resides in the downtown three-story Fagiani building where it opened its doors in July of 2019. Owner, Joseph Wagner, who is a fifth generation Napa native and winemaker, wanted to put his concept in a historic Napa building where he could bring back to life the original facade and energy. Avow stems from Joseph’s commitment and love for the Napa community. To him, it is a vow to locals and travelers to come, share, and enjoy moments in time.
The subtle elegance of each floor in this three-story building allows for a comfortable and unique experience on each level. The first floor offers outdoor dining in a picturesque tent with ornate chandeliers and a wooden deck built right onto Main street. The first floor bar has become a hub, with locals and travelers alike stopping in for a few of their favorite beverages. The second floor of the building is the main dining room and raw bar where fresh oysters are shucked to order. This is definitely a one of a kind experience in and out of Napa. The open family-style tables make it easy to share the delicious food and wine while enjoying those in your company. On the third floor, you will find yet another full bar experience, with appetizers and cocktails which are exclusively available on this level. This floor also features an outdoor patio where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Napa River, Veterans Park, and the eastern hills of Napa Valley.
The food at Avow is an elevated rustic Napa cuisine showcasing caviar, oysters, steak, and seafood as well as some unique and tasty plant based dishes. All of their menu items are designed with wine in mind and meant to be paired with Copper Cane Wines. Copper Cane is Joseph’s wine company and can be tasted at Quilt and Co. which resides right next door to Avow. Even though Avow currently does not have a happy hour, their fun and festive bar features many craft cocktails with seasonal flavors and local spirits. The bar is approachable and comfortable with a friendly and talented staff led by Nate Wilson, who has been a bartender in Napa Valley for the better half of 20 years. Avow is a must see for any traveler passing through and is loved by many Napa locals.
